Review of the season for Liverpool

Manchester City v Liverpool - International Champions Cup 2018

In 2017-18 season Liverpool finished fourth, 6 points behind Manchester United and 25 points behind The champions Manchester City who were the runaway champions. But many pundits believed that they were the second-best team behind Man City. A new season is going to start and the excitement of the Liverpool fans is on cloud nine, after all this the best Liverpool squad in decades or maybe the best ever but It's quite early to judge.

Goalkeeper:-

Undoubtedly, Alisson is going to be the first choice and for sure would be playing surplus 50 matches. Loris karius is the backup option, but it seems highly unlikely that he would feature in most of the games.

Defense:-

One of the best-attacking defense in the world right now. what my friend has told me seems over the top to you right now, but mind him, if Robertson and Alexander Arnold remains fit throughout the season, the back four of Liverpool is going to provide a lot of assists and a few goals to add on it till the end of the season.
As for now, as defensive duties are concerned van-Djik is one of the best in the world. Dejan Lovern seems completely resurgent, and those having doubts over Arnold and Robertson just be prepared to bury your head into the sands. Liverpool defense is going to set premier league on fire this year. they certainly are worlds best in this department.

Midfield:-

This is the area where Liverpool definitely can't be compared to worlds elites. although they have got some damn good guys into their ranks still, there is a lot of scopes. Fabinho, Henderson or maybe Sturridge too, everyone would be fighting for those 3-4 places in the midfield. they do have quality in this area too, but they are far-off from worlds best in this area. this area is definitely not their weakness but still, it's their grey area.

Attack:-

One of the worlds best forward at the moment for sure with Salah, Mane, Firmino looking sharper and hungrier than ever, their combined tally of 91 goals in the previous season is set to be broken. Last year Liverpool scored 135 goals in the whole season, there seems no hesitation in it that they are going to score more than that. They have also got some good backup option in Sturridge and Shaqiri and they surely make them a force to reckon with.

Conclusion:-

This year Liverpool are going to set everything on fire that comes their way. I am expecting them to better their position from last year in the premier league and have a long run in the Champions League.
